CSci 8715: P1 Draft Project Proposal

چکیده
Eck et. al. in their article in [1] has proposed an approach to use K-means [2] clustering algorithm to cluster crime hot spots. Oliver et. al. in [3, 4] has argued that in places with low crime density KMR is a better alternative for law enforcement agencies than [1]. In this research we are interested in finding out the following questions: 1. At what crime hotspot density Oliver et. al.'s [4] KMR approach is a better approach than Eck et. al.'s Crimestat K-means approach [1] or vice versa? 2.
